 | | Using Soya | |
The Soya core is designed to be crossbrowser and host independent.
The means it'll run out of the box in any Javascript 1.2 compliant browser (MSIE, Netscape, Mozilla and Opera)
and under a number of other hosts like WSH (Windows Scripting Host), ASP (Active Server Pages) and Whitebeam.
| | | |
Once the core is active you can include/load any parts of the library designed/supported by that particular host.
The DHTML classes for instance won't fit into ASP usage, since its for client-side (browser) usage.
The Crypto classes on the other hand are universally available, runnable in a browser or from the shell.

One of the targets for Soya use are client-side/DHTML scripting, this site for instance is scriptingwize
completely driven by Soya and its gzip/zip script-package loader. The menu-system above and the rest.

Without even knowing it, thousands of people are already using applications built on Soya technology.
That's right, a couple of procucts available at our site are built with Soya technology. If you
havent checked them out I suggest you go have a look at them.
